H. A. Eugene writes strange stories about food, death, and drugs, and pretty music about homicide, fascism, and insects.

His short fiction has appeared in X-R-A-Y Lit Mag, Flash Fiction Magazine, Radon Journal, HAD, Flashback Fiction, Short Édition, and Writers Resist, as well as in print anthologies Through Death’s Door by Monnath Books, Gypsum Sound Tales: Thuggish Itch: Hospitality, and Gypsum Sound Veils. In 2020 his short story “Awake Since ’78” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

He publishes music under the moniker Autobono, is one-half of the producer duo Business 80, and currently resides in beautiful Brooklyn, New York, where he is a staff member of the Bushwick Writer’s Group.
